At Cooperscroft Care Home, we specialise in residential care for older people who require general support or who may be living with the experience of dementia. Our home is conveniently located within a quiet residential environment with extensive garden areas.

Cooperscroft located in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire and is an old 1960’s building that was originally a local authority run home. Purchased by TLC Group in late 2006 the home is spread over 3 floors and has been refurbished to very high standard that provides care for the elderly and those with dementia, with 51 rooms available for occupancy.

Each floor offers lounges and dining areas with plenty of communal bath and shower facilities. Each dining area has a small kitchenette within it so that refreshments are available at all times for the residents and visitors. Residents’ rooms and lounges are personalised to make the home surroundings feel like they are home from home.

Predominantly made up of single rooms, there are also some larger rooms that are very popular. There are three communal showers and communal bathrooms on each floor, along with communal toilets. The corridors are spacious allowing wheelchair users plenty of space to move about.

The kitchen offers wonderful home cooked meals prepared with fresh produce delivered daily. The chefs try to use where possible, local suppliers for the ingredients. A great deal of effort is taken to cater for every resident’s needs.
A fully equipped in-house laundry ensures that residents benefit from a prompt service delivered on the premises.

Our beautiful garden setting of the home provides a tranquil environment for residents to enjoy. Set in vast grounds, it has its own fenced off pond enabling residents to wander the gardens taking in all the wildlife the secluded garden offers. The garden is secure, and the patio areas offer raised beds for residents to do their own gardening and planting.

Our team includes qualified nurses and care assistants, who are assisted by the housekeeping team who take care of cleaning and laundry services. Onsite maintenance ensures the home is kept to a high standard.

Our full time activities coordinator organises daily quizzes, hobbies and outings. We are more than happy to discuss any particular activities that residents would like to do. The home is situated a short walk from a selection of local shops on Potters Bar high Street and an activity enjoyed by a number of residents is a trip to the shops where they can buy their own items for their rooms.
